Set in Los Angeles, Nicole Holofcener's bittersweet tale examines the evolving lives of four women friends: married and financially secure Jane (Frances McDormand), Franny (Joan Cusack) and Christine (Catherine Keener), and their single friend Olivia (Jennifer Aniston).
